Blueprint for a Future Barbeque

I made this barbeque set in response to my experiences of shared meals during the pandemic. I had just moved to a new town; as people emerged from their homes during the summer months, the main way of connecting with others was through shared barbeques. The sand was our dinner table, and Margate’s beaches were dotted with plumes of smoke. This ceramic barbeque became a canvas for these memories, as well as a promise for future barbeques to come.
